What is Community-Centered Herbalism in the Wise Woman Tradition?When the phrase community centered herbalism found its way into my vocabulary back in the late 1990's, the word "community" took on a meaning far greater than just the people who lived near me or were my "tribe" i.e. those who think and act like me. "Community", as I intended the meaning, included water, air, earth and, well, all life ignited by the sun's warmth and fusion of the elements here on planet earth. So, I began to ask myself questions and imposed those questions upon the apprentices who joined me in this exhilarating exploration and journey...it is to them and all of nature that I extend a hearty hand in thank-you for deepening and expanding the possibilities of community centered herbalism in myself and in our world today...
