Barbara Maddoux RN

Dr. Barbara Maddoux is a Doctor of Oriental Medicine and the founder of NorthPointe Medicine, a Registered Nurse and Cardiovascular Nurse Specialist (for 40 years), and the first Board certified Functional Medicine Physician in New Mexico. My unique approach to evaluating and healing patients starts by looking through “three different lenses”: Western, Oriental, and Functional Medicine. This inclusive, integrative perspective allows me to guide, support and heal my patients in an entirely unique manner. Embracing spiritual and soul healing by addressing Mental, Emotional and Spiritual health has enhanced the healing outcomes. This has become my life’s work, and is not simply my vocation, it is the heart of who I truly am.  

My hands-on experience over the last 50 years “at the bedside” as a Critical Care Nurse, a Doctor of Oriental Medicine, and a Functional Medicine Physician has filled me with understanding and intuitive, healing wisdom.
