Rossana Novaes

Rossana Novaes is more than the founder and visionary behind MindShift Thrive Global Ministries. She is a compassionate beacon of hope and resilience for those she serves. A profound testament to her faith and co-creation with her Savior, MindShift Thrive, was conceived in 2023 following a divine calling that Rossana received.

Through her journey of resilience, Rossana carries the torch of hope. She triumphed over two psychologically, financially, emotionally, and physically abusive relationships following her first divorce, which began in 2009. The testimony of her survival and thriving post-abuse is a testament to her strength and indomitable spirit.

Beyond her personal experiences, Rossana has been a stalwart figure in early education for over 30 years, managing family-owned facilities and ensuring the foundational growth of countless young minds. Her wisdom stems from her rigorous academic journey. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration from Florida International University in the United States, where she discovered her passion for mental health. She further expanded her understanding by earning a master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling from Trinity International University (US) in 2022. She is currently pursuing her second master’s degree (Theological Studies), where she was granted the prestigious Centennial full-scholarship award at Dallas Theological Seminary in the United States in 2024.

An emblem of a loving and united family, Rossana is a proud mother to two wonderful adult children. In her quiet moments, she can often be found immersed in her favorite book, the NIV Study Application Bible, or capturing the inherent beauty of nature through her lens. She resides in Atlanta, Georgia, with her family.

Rossana's advocacy work extends beyond her Ministry. A staunch supporter of children and the marginalized, her efforts are evident in the peaceful protest she organized in 2009. With the collaboration of other providers and families, Rossana led the charge against severe budget cuts for after-school programs that would have impacted over 45,000 children in Miami-Dade County, Florida. Her commitment and leadership played a pivotal role in overturning the proposed cuts, showcasing her dedication to children's welfare and education.

Rossana's personality sparkles with delightful idiosyncrasies. A secret left-hander, a lover of refreshing green smoothies, and a passionate worshipper moved to tears by the redemptive power of God; she embodies a unique blend of strength, faith, and vulnerability. At the heart of her resilience and unwavering spirit, is a biblical verse that she holds dear.

Habakkuk 3:17-19 from the New International Version reads, "Though the fig tree does not bud and there are no grapes on the vines, though the olive crop fails, and the fields produce no food, though there are no sheep in the pen and no cattle in the stalls, yet I will rejoice in the Lord, I will be joyful in God my Savior. The Sovereign Lord is my strength; he makes my feet like the feet of a deer; he enables me to tread on the heights.”

This verse, in essence, encapsulates her journey: a testament to her rejoicing in God and finding strength amid the challenges, enabling her to soar to great heights.

In her, survivors find a role model, a mentor, and a friend. With a heart full of empathy, Rossana Novaes da Silva continues to illuminate the path to healing and empowerment for survivors of domestic violence through this next chapter of her life; MindShift Thrive Global Ministries.
